~ Shadows Of Love ~

Alone in the cold forests of my life, I
seek a companion, through the drifts of
pure white falling snows and I trudge
through it's depths to find you.

Images of your shadow amongst the trees
I faintly see through the limbs from the
reflections of moon light flowing around
the beauty of your soul.

The closer I move towards your image that
I see within the depths of the forest the
further it seems that your spirit blends
into the shadows of the night.

With every striding step forward that I
take to fulfill the destiny that has been
branded into our souls from birth, I feel
the chills that I might pass you by.

I stand in complete silence for the moment
looking intensely into the depths of the
forest for your soul and listening for the
sounds of your spirit whispering for me in
the winds.

I raise up my head while the moon captures
my spirit and it's light glows on my skin
for you to see I am here as you hear the
howling cries of my heart longing for you.
