~ Puppy Love ~

In times of hurt I give all my love to
my puppy with so much passion while I
think only of you as our relationship
is crashing.

As I hold my puppy and cry many tears
of love we have lost throughout the years,
I wish we could be like the loving animal
I hold so close and dear.

I miss that unconditional love filled with
passion that we use to share like my puppy
gives me freely what we lost though our life
filled with fashions.

Was it because we forgot to give each other
that special love that a puppy gives freely
or was it that we never knew how to love at
all and thought it would be easy?

As I hold my dear puppy filled with so much
love close to my heart that you use to give,
I cry out to God help us please so our love
won't fall further apart.

In silence I heard God whisper my dear loving
child the love is there within you to forgive
him so he can love you just like the puppy I
created for you is loving you now.
