Today as I awoke my heart was empty
without you dear, all I could do was
think only of you with eyes filled
with tears

Happy thoughts throughout the day I
try so hard to do, but without your
loving presence near me I am lost
knowing not what to do

Thoughts of an embracing slow dance
together filled my mind and heart, with
feelings that made me think you and I
were not apart

Multitudes of past memories will always
fill my mind, of all the special moments
we shared that you gave freely so gentle
and kind

When God created an angel he created him
for me, to give me many happy years that
made my heart feel free.

Now that God has taken my angel and left
me here to be, I pray and ask to why he
did and why it had to be.

I took him back to heaven because it had to
be, that his loving kindness was needed here
to help our family tree.
